Mr. Hauschild served as an extern with U.S. District Court Judge Robert Bryan in Tacoma before before embarking on his litigation career. Working in a small, two-man office near Tacoma, Washington from 1991 to 1997 he handled business, domestic, criminal, probate and general civil cases, including cases in Indian Tribal Courts and cases involving treaty fishing rights in state courts. He joined the Tacoma firm of Davies Pearson, P.C. in 1997, where he added bankruptcy, insurance defense and auto dealership litigation to his practice areas. Over the next eight years, he mediated and arbitrated dozens of cases and tried numerous jury and non-jury cases. He became a shareholder at Davies Pearson in 2001.
Mr. Hauschild joined Jackson & Wallace LLP as Senior Counsel in 2006 in the Seattle office. He handles a wide variety of insurance defense cases, including liquor liability, premises liability, auto accidents, timber trespass, crop damage and professional liability matters, and is experienced in all phases of evaluation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trial of these cases. He has taken 18 trials to verdict/judgment, and successfully handled several appeals. He is also a certified Mediator-Practitioner and has served as a mediator, arbitrator and settlement conference facilitator in superior and district courts for over 10 years.
